1

Chill glass

Place a chilled coupé or martini glass in the freezer for 5 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the drink is properly chilled.

2

Combine spirits

Add 2 oz Roku gin, 1 oz Ketel One vodka, and 0.5 oz Mancini Sakura vermouth to a mixing glass or cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and stir

Fill the mixing glass with plenty of ice (about 1 cup). Stir gently but thoroughly for 20–30 seconds (about 15–20 full rotations) until the mixture is well chilled and slightly diluted. If you prefer a slightly colder, clearer Vesper, stir for 30–40 seconds.

4

Prepare glass

If you chilled the glass with ice water, discard the ice water and dry the glass.

5

Strain

Using a julep or Hawthorne strainer, strain the cocktail into the chilled coupé or martini glass.

6

Garnish

Express the oils from one lemon peel over the surface of the cocktail by holding the peel over the glass and giving it a firm squeeze, then run the peel around the rim and drop it in as garnish.

7

Serve immediately. Note: adjust vermouth to taste — Sakura vermouth is floral and slightly sweet, so 0.5 oz keeps the classic Vesper profile while letting the gin and vodka shine.
