Method

Prepare and Shake

1

Fill shaker

Add 1 cup of cubed ice to a cocktail shaker.

2

Add spirits and juices

Pour 1.5 oz white rum, 0.75 oz coconut rum, and 0.5 oz banana liqueur into the shaker. Add 2 oz fresh orange juice and 2 oz fresh pineapple juice.

3

Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds, until the exterior of the shaker is cold and diluted slightly.

Finish and Serve

4

Strain over glass

Fill a highball or hurricane glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass, leaving room at the top for the grenadine.

5

Add grenadine

Slowly pour 0.25 oz grenadine down the side of the glass or over the back of a spoon so it sinks and creates a sunrise gradient.

6

Garnish and present

Garnish with a pineapple wedge, an orange slice, and a maraschino cherry on a cocktail pick. Serve with a straw and optional swizzle stick.
