1

Prepare and chill glass

If desired, chill a rocks glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes. Remove before pouring; place a large ice cube or sphere in the glass.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz 1800 Añejo tequila, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz agave nectar, 0.5 oz orange liqueur and 2 dashes Angostura bitters.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

4

Strain

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over the large ice cube/sphere to avoid small shards of ice and ensure a clear presentation.

5

Garnish and finish

Express the oils of an orange peel over the drink by holding the peel skin-side down approximately 3–4 inches above the glass and giving it a firm snap. Rub the peel around the glass rim and drop it into the drink. Finish with a lime wheel or twist on the rim. Serve immediately.
