Method

Tequila & Glassware

1

Chill glass (optional)

If you prefer your Añejo slightly chilled, place the rocks glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes or add a few small ice cubes while preparing the garnish and discard them before serving.

2

Place one large clear ice cube (or 2–3 large ice cubes) into the rocks glass. A single large cube melts slower and preserves the tequila's aromas.

3

Measure 2 oz Herradura Añejo tequila using a jigger and pour it over the ice in the glass.

Optional Garnish & Accoutrements

4

Express an orange twist: hold the orange peel over the glass, skin side down, and give it a firm twist to release oils onto the surface of the tequila. Run the peel around the glass rim and drop it into the drink if desired.

5

If you like a touch of sweetness, add one Luxardo or brandied cherry into the glass as a finishing accent.

6

Serve immediately and sip slowly to enjoy the complex vanilla, cooked agave, oak and dried-fruit notes of the Herradura Añejo.
