Pickling Ingredients

Method

Pickling Process

1

Prepare the Cucumbers

Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and slice them into spears or rounds, depending on your preference.

2

Make the Pickling Solution

In a medium saucepan, combine the water, white vinegar, salt, sugar, garlic cloves, dill weed, mustard seeds, peppercorns, and red pepper flakes. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the salt and sugar dissolve.

3

Pack the Cucumbers

Place the sliced cucumbers into clean glass jars, leaving some space at the top for the pickling solution.

4

Add the Pickling Solution

Pour the hot pickling solution over the cucumbers in the jars, ensuring they are fully submerged. Seal the jars with lids.

5

Cool and Refrigerate

Allow the jars to cool to room temperature before placing them in the refrigerator. Let them pickle for at least 24 hours before consuming for best flavor.

6

Serve

Enjoy your homemade pickles as a snack or as a side to your meals.
