1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure it's well chilled.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Grey Goose vodka, 2 oz cranberry juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz triple sec (or Cointreau), 0.25 oz fresh orange juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup if you prefer a slightly sweeter drink.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and slightly frosted. This both chills and dilutes the drink to the correct balance.

4

Prepare serving glass

Discard ice water from the chilled glass (if used) and briefly wipe the rim if necessary. Optionally, rim the glass lightly with a lime wedge for extra aroma.

5

Strain and serve

Strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer or the shaker strainer into the chilled coupe or martini glass. Pour over fresh ice if you prefer an on-the-rocks presentation (use about 1/2 cup ice).

6

Garnish

Express the oils of an orange twist over the drink and drop it in, or float a lime wheel on the surface. Serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust sweetness with the simple syrup to taste — omit entirely for a tarter Cosmopolitan-style profile. Use freshly squeezed juices for the best flavor. The recipe yields one cocktail.
