Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Drop large spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Make the Chocolate Sauce

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the chocolate is melted and the sauce is smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
