Method
Brewed Coffee
Measure
Measure 0.05 cups (about 1 level tablespoon, ~8–9 g) of freshly ground coffee. Use a medium grind for drip or filter, slightly coarser for a French press, and finer for espresso.
Heat water
Heat 0.85 cups (about 200 ml) of fresh cold water to just off a boil (around 90–96°C / 195–205°F). If using a kettle, let the water sit 30 seconds after boiling.
Brew
Place the ground coffee in your chosen brewer (filter cone, French press, pour-over, or espresso basket). Pour hot water evenly over grounds to fully saturate, then continue pouring in a steady spiral until you've added all the water (for pour-over). For French press, pour water, stir gently, steep 3–4 minutes, then press. For drip/automatic machine, follow the machine's standard cycle.
Strain/Finish
If using pour-over or French press, let coffee finish dripping or press the plunger. For drip or espresso, stop the machine when brewing is complete. Pour the brewed coffee into a pre-warmed cup.

Optional garnish
If desired, sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of cocoa powder or ground cinnamon on top. Serve immediately while hot.
