1

Prepare the glass

Fill a large wine glass or an oversized rocks glass about three-quarters full with fresh ice cubes. The glass should be well chilled if possible (you can briefly store it in the freezer ahead of time).

2

Add Aperol

Measure and pour 3 oz (approximately a generous 3 parts) of Aperol directly over the ice.

3

Add Prosecco

Carefully measure 2 oz (approximately 2 parts) of chilled Prosecco and gently pour it into the glass. Pour slowly to preserve carbonation.

4

Top with soda

Add 1 oz (approximately 1 part) of chilled soda water (club soda) on top. This lightens the drink and adds effervescence.

5

Gentle stir

Using a bar spoon, stir the contents gently two to three times. Stir just enough to combine the Aperol and Prosecco with the soda without losing too much fizz.

6

Garnish and serve

Place one fresh orange wheel on the rim or drop it into the glass as a garnish. Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.

Optional tools

7

Use a jigger to measure spirits and Prosecco for consistency. A bar spoon provides controlled, gentle stirring. Chill the glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes beforehand for an extra-cold presentation.
