Method
Base & Fruit
Prepare cold-brewed black tea ahead by steeping 2 tablespoons of loose black tea (or 2 black tea bags) in 4 cups cold water for 8–12 hours in the fridge; strain. For this recipe measure 2 cups of the brewed tea and place it in a large pitcher.
Add 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice, 1 cup pineapple juice and 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice to the pitcher with the tea. Stir gently to combine.
Sweetener & Salt
Add 1 teaspoon sea salt and stir until fully dissolved — the salt helps replace electrolytes and rounds the flavor.
Minerals & Boosters
Stir in 1 teaspoon unflavored electrolyte powder (or a measured scoop of hydration mix) until dissolved. Add 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger and mix — ginger adds mild zing and aids digestion.
Finish & Garnish
Fill a large serving pitcher or individual glasses with 2 cups of ice (adjust to preference). Pour the prepared tea-fruit-electrolyte mixture over the ice, leaving room for sparkling water.
Top with 1 cup cold sparkling water to add light effervescence. Gently stir once to combine without losing too much fizz.
Serve
Divide into 2 generous servings (or 3 smaller). Garnish each glass with a thin orange wheel and a fresh mint sprig. Serve immediately cold.
