Method
Prep
Chill glass
Place a martini or coupe glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes to chill while you assemble the cocktail.
Mixing
Combine ingredients
Fill a cocktail shaker with the ice cubes. Pour in 2 oz chambray vodka, 1 oz Mozart Dark Chocolate liqueur, 0.5 oz Licor 43, and 1 oz heavy cream. If you want a slightly sweeter or more chocolaty drink, add the optional 1 tsp chocolate syrup to the shaker.
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–18 seconds until the exterior of the shaker feels very cold and the cream is well emulsified, producing a light froth.
Fine strain
Remove the chilled glass from the freezer. Using a fine strainer (or the shaker strainer), pour the cocktail into the prepared martini/coupe glass to achieve a silky, foam-topped presentation.
Garnish & Serve
Finish with chocolate and salt
Sprinkle the grated dark chocolate or chocolate shavings over the foam. Lightly pinch a small amount of Maldon sea salt and sprinkle a very small pinch across the top (one pinch is enough for 1–2 drinks) to accentuate the chocolate flavors.
Optional garnish
Drop a whole chocolate curl or a small truffle on the surface or on the glass rim if desired. Serve immediately while cold.
