Ingredients for Classic Mimosas
Method
Preparation Steps
Chill the Champagne
Place the bottle of Champagne or sparkling wine in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving, or in an ice bucket for 20-30 minutes.
Juice the Oranges
If using fresh oranges, cut them in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or press until you have 2 cups of fresh orange juice. Strain if desired to remove pulp.
Combine Ingredients
In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed orange juice with the chilled Champagne or sparkling wine. The ratio is typically 1 part orange juice to 2 parts Champagne, but you can adjust to taste.
Serve the Mimosas
Pour the mimosa mixture into champagne flutes, filling them about halfway or to your preferred level. If you like, add ice to the glass before pouring for a chilled drink.
Garnish
Slice the fresh orange and place a slice on the rim of each glass as a garnish.
Enjoy!
Serve immediately while bubbly, and enjoy your refreshing mimosas at brunch or any celebratory occasion.
