Chicken Preparation
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Prepare the Breading
In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg and milk together. In another bowl, place the flour or breadcrumbs.
Coat the Chicken
Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with flour or breadcrumbs. Ensure an even coating.
Cook the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the coated chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
Spaghetti Preparation
Cook the Spaghetti
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes.
Combine and Serve
Drain the spaghetti and toss with olive oil and garlic (if used). Plate the spaghetti and top with the cooked chicken breasts. Garnish with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
