Chicken Marinade

Assembly

Method

Marinating Chicken

1

Marinate the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Breading Chicken

2

Prepare the Breading

In a separate bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Remove marinated chicken from the fridge, allowing excess buttermilk to drip off, then dredge each piece in the flour mixture.

Frying Chicken

3

Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken pieces. Fry for about 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assembling Sandwich

4

Assemble the Sandwich

Spread mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Add a piece of fried chicken, then top with pickles, lettuce, and tomato slices. Drizzle local hot honey over the top and cap with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately.
