Preparation Steps
Make the Hazy IPA Infused Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water (1 cup each) and heat over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of Hazy IPA. Allow to cool before using.
Prepare the Glass
Chill an old-fashioned glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.
Mix the Cocktail
In a mixing glass, combine 2 oz of Bourbon, 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters, 2 dashes of Orange Bitters, and 1 oz of the Hazy IPA infused simple syrup.
Stir the Mixture
Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.
Strain and Serve
Empty the ice water from the chilled old-fashioned glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass over a large ice cube.
Garnish
Garnish your cocktail with a Luxardo cherry and an orange peel by expressing the oils of the peel over the drink and placing it on the rim.
