Cocktail

Aromatic Bubble (foam garnish)

Method

Cocktail

1

Combine spirits

Add gin, white crème de cacao, amaretto, Carolina rum cream, heavy cream, and 0.5 oz pasteurized egg white (or aquafaba) into a cocktail shaker without ice for a dry shake. The dry shake emulsifies the cream and egg white to create a silky texture.

2

Dry shake

Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds to build body and foam.

3

Wet shake

Open the shaker and add a large handful of ice (about 6 cubes). Shake again vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold to the touch and the mixture is well chilled and slightly frothy.

4

Strain

Double-strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass to remove ice shards and any larger bits of foam for a silky pour.

Aromatic Bubble (foam garnish)

5

Make the aromatic bubble just before serving. In a small jar or Boston shaker, combine 0.5 oz egg white (or aquafaba), 0.25 oz simple syrup, 0.25 oz cold water, and 3 dashes of Angostura bitters.

6

Vigorously dry-shake (no ice) for 20–25 seconds to produce a stable, glossy foam. If using aquafaba, you may need an extra 5–10 seconds of shaking to reach similar volume.

7

Carefully spoon or gently pour a thin layer of the aromatic foam on top of the strained cocktail to create an even 'bubble' layer. The foam should sit on the surface and hold the aromatic bitters pattern.

8

Optional: For a decorative aromatic pattern, add 1–2 extra dashes of Angostura bitters on the foam and use a cocktail pick to drag a simple design (spiral or cross).

Garnish & Serve

9

Lightly grate a touch of fresh nutmeg over the foam (greater aroma, not overpowering).

10

Express the orange peel over the drink to release oils, then place the twist or dried peel gently on the foam as a garnish.

11

Serve immediately. Instruct guests to inhale the aromatic bitters and nutmeg as they sip — the 'ALEXANDER'S REVENGE' balances juniper brightness with chocolate, almond, and rum-cream richness, finished by the aromatic bubble.
