Prepare glass
Fill a copper mule mug (or highball glass) with crushed ice, leaving room at the top for liquid and garnish.
Muddle berries (optional)
If using fresh berries and you want more berry flavor, place 3–4 berries in the bottom of a shaker or measuring glass and gently muddle once or twice to release juices. Do not over-muddle—just a light press.
Combine spirits & lime
Add 2 oz New Amsterdam Red Berry Vodka and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice to the shaker or measuring glass with the muddled berries (if used). If you prefer a sweeter drink, add 0.25 oz simple syrup.
Build the mule
Strain (if you muddled) or pour the vodka-lime mixture over the crushed ice in the mug. Top with 4 oz ginger beer. Gently stir once or twice with a bar spoon to combine without flattening the ginger beer.
Garnish & Finish
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim, a sprig of mint tucked into the ice, and 3–4 whole or frozen red berries on top for color and aroma. Serve immediately with a straw if desired.
Serving & Notes
Serve chilled. Adjust sweetness by increasing or omitting simple syrup. For a stronger berry presence, use slightly more vodka or muddle additional berries. Use a good quality ginger beer for best flavor.
