Chill and prepare glass

If possible, chill the glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while preparing other items. This helps keep the drink colder longer.

Add 6 ice cubes to the chilled glass. Adjust number of ice cubes to preference for dilution and temperature.

Open a 12 oz can or pour from a chilled bottle of Coca-Cola Zero. Tilt the glass at about a 45° angle and slowly pour the soda down the side of the glass to preserve carbonation and reduce foaming.

Top up to the brim if necessary, leaving a small gap to avoid overflow. If you prefer less fizz, pour more slowly and stop just before full.

Garnish: If using, gently squeeze the lime wedge over the drink to release a few drops of juice, then drop the wedge into the glass or serve on the rim.

Insert a straw if desired and serve immediately to enjoy optimal carbonation and chill.

If using a chilled glass, remove from freezer just before pouring. If you chilled the glass with ice water, discard that water and add fresh ice before pouring the soda.
