Sparkle & finish

Method

Prepare glass & base

1

Chill glass

If possible, chill a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes. Otherwise fill the glass with ice to cool it while you build the cocktail.

2

Add 1 cup of fresh ice to the chilled glass (or replace the cooling ice).

3

Measure and pour 2 oz Smirnoff Vodka, 1 oz Shivelight, 0.75 oz huckleberry shrub, and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice into a cocktail shaker or mixing glass filled with a small handful of ice.

4

Gently shake for 8–10 seconds just to chill and combine (not to dilute excessively).

Build & finish

5

Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared highball glass over fresh ice.

6

Top with 3 oz chilled ginger beer. Pour gently to preserve effervescence; brief gentle stir (one or two turns) to integrate.

7

Taste and adjust: if you want it tarter, add an extra 0.25 oz lime; if sweeter, add 0.25 oz huckleberry shrub and stir once.

Garnish & serve

8

Thread 6 huckleberries (or mixed berries) onto a cocktail pick or scatter them on top.

9

Float a lime wheel on the rim or side of the glass and tuck a mint sprig behind it if using. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.
