Method

Dough Preparation

1

Activate Yeast

In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

2

Combine Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the flour and salt. Once the yeast is activated, add the olive oil and mix it with the flour mixture.

3

Knead and Rise

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place it in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Assembly and Baking

4

Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).

5

Roll Out Dough

Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangular shape about 1/2 inch thick.

6

Prepare Base

Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the surface.

7

Add Toppings

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add desired toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives).

8

Bake Pizza

Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

9

Cut and Serve

Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then cut into small bite-sized squares.
