Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Espresso

Brew 2 shots of espresso using an espresso machine or stovetop espresso maker. Ensure the espresso is fresh and hot.

2

Heat the Milk

In a small saucepan, heat 200 ml of whole milk over medium heat. Do not let it boil; heat until it’s steaming.

3

Froth the Milk

Once the milk is hot, use a milk frother or whisk to froth the milk until it doubles in volume and has a velvety texture.

Assembly

4

Combine Espresso and Water

In a coffee cup, pour the brewed espresso and 50 ml of hot water to create an Americano base.

5

Add Milk

Slowly pour the frothed milk over the espresso mixture, holding back the froth with a spoon to allow the liquid milk to mix in first.

6

Add Flavoring (optional)

If desired, add 1 tablespoon of vanilla syrup or sugar to taste, stirring gently to combine.

Finishing Touch

7

Serve

Top the latte with the remaining froth from the milk. Optionally, sprinkle with cocoa powder or cinnamon for garnish. Serve immediately.
