Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare shaker

Fill a cocktail shaker about two-thirds full with ice (approximately 1 cup).

2

Add spirits and mixers

Into the shaker add 1.5 oz white rum (or Malibu coconut rum for a coconut note), 0.75 oz Cointreau, and 0.5 oz passion fruit liqueur or syrup.

3

Add juices and sweetener

Pour in 2 oz fresh pineapple juice and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add 0.25 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste).

4

Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold and slightly frosted.

5

Strain and serve

Fill a chilled Collins or highball glass with fresh ice (or use the glass of ice already prepared). Double-strain the cocktail into the glass to remove any pulp or ice shards.

Garnish & Serve

6

Garnish the drink with a pineapple wedge on the rim and a lime wheel. If using fresh passion fruit, scoop half the passion fruit pulp over the top for aroma and visual appeal.

7

Serve immediately with a straw. Estimated alcohol content will be typical of a rum-forward mixed cocktail—remind guests to enjoy responsibly.
