1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or Nick & Nora glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill the glass.

2

Combine ingredients

In a mixing glass, add the rye whiskey (2 oz), Carpano Antica (3/4 oz), Galliano (1/4 oz), Campari (1/4 oz), and 1 dash of orange bitters.

3

Add ice and stir

Fill the mixing glass with large ice cubes (about 3–4). Stir gently but thoroughly for 25–30 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled and slightly diluted (mix is cold to the touch and the mixing glass develops light frost).

4

Prepare glass

If you chilled the serving glass with ice water, dump it now. Fine-strain the stirred cocktail from the mixing glass into the chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass.

5

Garnish

Express an orange peel over the surface of the cocktail to release the oils, then rub the peel on the rim and drop it into the drink as garnish.

6

Serve

Serve immediately. The Pinky Ring is best enjoyed slowly to appreciate the balance of spicy rye, herbal Carpano, sweet herbal Galliano, and bitter Campari.
