Method
Churro Dough Preparation
Mix in Flour
Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball. Let it cool for a few minutes.
Incorporate Eggs
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract until smooth.
Prepare for Frying
Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
Frying the Churros
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
Pipe and Fry
Pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Coating and Serving
Prepare Sugar Coating
Combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
Make Chocolate Sauce
In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat until simmering. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
Serve
Serve churros warm with chocolate sauce for dipping.
