Steak Preparation

1

Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and add the steak, ensuring it is coated evenly. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2

Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

3

Sauté the Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced onion and sauté until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

4

Chop the Steak

Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips.

Taco Assembly

5

Warm the Tortillas

Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until pliable.

6

Assemble the Tacos

On each tortilla, add a portion of sliced steak, sautéed onions, and sprinkle with chopped cilantro. Optionally, add salsa or lime juice for extra flavor.
