Method
Classic neat or on the rocks
Serve neat
Chill a small spirit glass (or rocks glass) in the freezer for 10–15 minutes. Pour 2 oz London dry gin into the chilled glass and serve without ice. Garnish with a lemon twist if desired.
Serve on the rocks
Place 1–2 large ice cubes (or 1 ice sphere) into a rocks glass. Pour 2 oz London dry gin over the ice. Express a lemon twist over the drink by pinching the peel above the glass to release oils, then drop the twist in or discard according to preference.
Gin & Tonic (optional)
Fill a highball glass with large ice cubes. Pour 2 oz gin over the ice. Slowly top with 4 oz chilled tonic water to preserve carbonation. Gently stir once with a bar spoon to combine. Garnish with a lime wheel or lemon wedge.
Gin Martini-style (optional)
Sweetened or flavored serve (optional)
For a sweeter, cocktail-style serve, add 0.25 oz simple syrup to 2 oz gin in a mixing glass with ice. Stir briefly, then strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with citrus twist or edible herb (e.g., rosemary).
