Method

Prep

1

Salt the glass

Run the lime wedge around the rim of a double old-fashioned or rocks glass. Dip the rim into coarse salt or Tajín on a small plate to coat. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.

Mixing

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add LALO Blanco tequila (2 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), grapefruit liqueur (0.5 oz), fresh pink grapefruit juice (2 oz) and agave syrup if using (0.25 oz).

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (about 3/4 full) and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.

4

Strain over fresh ice

Discard ice from the prepared glass if necessary and refill with fresh ice. Double-strain (fine strainer optional) the shaken cocktail into the glass over the fresh ice.

5

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a grapefruit wheel or a grapefruit twist and a lime wedge on the rim. Serve immediately on the rocks.
