Directions

1

Prepare the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the water, and then add the whole lemon to the pot. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the boiling water.

2

Cook the Shrimp

Once the water is boiling, add the large shrimp. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them.

3

Ice Bath

Remove the shrimp from the pot and immediately transfer them to a bowl filled with ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them sit for a few minutes until they are cool.

4

Make the Cocktail Sauce

In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Adjust the hot sauce to taste.

5

Serve

Drain the shrimp from the ice bath and plate them. Serve with the house-made cocktail sauce on the side.
