Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Tomatoes

Wash the Roma tomatoes under cold water. Remove the stems, and dice the tomatoes into small pieces. Place them in a mixing bowl.

2

Add Flavorings

Finely chop the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl with the diced tomatoes. Tear the fresh basil leaves into smaller pieces and add them as well.

3

Season the Mixture

Sprinkle the salt and black pepper over the tomato mixture. Gently toss the ingredients together until well combined. Set aside to let the flavors meld.

Bread Preparation

4

Slice the Bread

Using a serrated knife, slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick slices.

5

Grill the Bread

Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Place the bread slices on the grill, and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Assembly

6

Top the Bread

Once the bread is grilled, remove it from the grill and top each slice generously with the tomato mixture.

7

Drizzle with Balsamic Glaze

Drizzle balsamic glaze over the topped bread slices for added flavor.

Serving

8

Serve Immediately

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately while the bread is still warm.
