Prepare Drink

1

Chill glass (optional)

If you prefer an extra-cold drink, place the glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before assembling.

2

Fill the glass about three-quarters full with ice cubes (approximately 1 cup). Using ice helps keep the Coke Zero cold and preserves carbonation in the soda.

3

Open the chilled 12 fl oz can or bottle of Coke Zero. Pour it slowly down the side of the glass to reduce foaming and preserve carbonation. Aim to pour until the liquid reaches about 1/2 inch (1–1.5 cm) below the rim.

4

Gently stir once with a long spoon or give the glass a short swirl to settle the liquid around the ice. Avoid vigorous stirring to keep carbonation.

5

Squeeze the lime wedge over the drink if you want a citrus note, then drop the wedge into the glass. Taste and adjust: add more lime if desired.

6

Add a mint sprig as a garnish, if using. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
