Method

Prepare Tomato Jam

Combine Ingredients

In a large saucepan, combine chopped tomatoes, sugar, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.

Cook Mixture

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.

Simmer

Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes, until the mixture thickens.

Cool Jam

Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool completely.

Prepare Flatbread

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Oil Flatbread

Brush each piece of flatbread with olive oil on both sides.

Place the flatbread on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until lightly golden.

Assemble Flatbreads

Spread Tomato Jam

Spread a generous layer of tomato jam over each piece of flatbread.

Add Cantaloupe

Layer the diced cantaloupe evenly over the jam.

Add Red Onion

Evenly distribute the thinly sliced red onion on top.

Top with slices of serrano ham and sprinkle with chopped basil.
