Drink

1

Prepare glass

Fill a highball or Collins glass with about 1 cup of ice cubes, leaving some room at the top for the liquids.

2

Add juices and soda

Pour 2 oz of fresh (or refrigerated) orange juice over the ice. Then slowly pour 6 oz of cold 7-Up (or other lemon-lime soda) into the glass to retain carbonation.

3

Add grenadine

Drizzle 0.5 oz of grenadine gently down the side of the glass or over the back of a spoon. The grenadine will sink and create a layered red-to-golden effect.

4

Garnish and serve

Garnish with one maraschino cherry (place on a pick or drop into the glass) and an optional orange slice on the rim. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer so the drink can be mixed if desired.
