Directions

1

Cook the Bacon

In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pot.

2

Sauté Vegetables

Add the diced onion and celery to the pot with the bacon drippings. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

3

Add Potatoes and Broth

Stir in the diced potatoes, clam juice, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

4

Incorporate Clams and Cream

Add the chopped clams and heavy cream to the pot. Stir well and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

5

Season and Serve

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with crumbled bacon and chopped chives.
