Method
Prep
Chill glass
Place a coupe or rocks glass in the freezer (or fill with ice water) to chill while you prepare the cocktail.
If you haven't made simple syrup: combine equal parts granulated sugar and water in a small saucepan, heat gently until sugar dissolves, cool before using. (Use 0.5 oz for this recipe.)
Muddle & Mix
Muddle cucumber
In a cocktail shaker, add the 4 thin cucumber slices and the 0.5 oz simple syrup. Gently muddle 6–8 times to release fresh cucumber juice and aroma without over-pureeing — you want freshness, not pulp.
Add spirits and acid
Add 2 oz vodka, 0.75 oz Ver liqueur, and 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice to the shaker with the muddled cucumber.
Add ice and shake
Add about 1 cup of ice to the shaker. Seal and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold to the touch and diluted slightly.
Strain & Serve
Add pomegranate finish
Drop 1 tablespoon of pomegranate seeds into the cocktail so they float and release a subtle color and aroma. Gently stir once with a bar spoon to distribute.
Serving Suggestion
Serve immediately while cold. This cocktail balances bright citrus, verdant herbal notes from the Ver liqueur, clean vodka, and a fresh cucumber and pomegranate finish. If desired, serve over fresh ice in a rocks glass instead of straight-up.
