Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

Place a chilled coupe or martini glass in the freezer for a few minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure it is well chilled.

2

Combine ingredients

Add 2 oz gin, 1/2 oz yellow Chartreuse, 1/4 oz dry vermouth, and 1 dash Angostura bitters into a cocktail shaker or mixing glass.

3

Add ice and chill

Fill the shaker or mixing glass with ice (about 4–6 large cubes).

4

Stir or shake

Stir briskly for about 20–30 seconds if using a mixing glass to properly chill and dilute the drink. If you prefer a slightly more aerated texture, shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds, then double-strain into the chilled glass.

5

Strain

Fine-strain or double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass, leaving ice behind.

6

Garnish

Express the lemon peel over the drink by holding it skin-side down above the glass and giving it a firm twist to release oils. Rim the glass lightly with the peel and drop it in as a garnish.
