Method
Wrap Directions
Prepare the Wrap
Lay a large flour tortilla flat on a clean surface.
Add Meat
Place 1/2 cup of shredded cooked chicken or your choice of meat in the center of the tortilla.
Add Cheese and Jalapeños
Sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and add sliced jalapeños on top of the meat.
Add Sauces
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of sour cream and 1 tablespoon of salsa over the top.
Wrap it Up
Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it from the bottom up to form a wrap.
Rice Directions
Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of white rice, 2 cups of water, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
Bring to a Boil
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
Simmer the Rice
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
Fluff the Rice
Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
Biscuits Directions
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
Cut in Butter
Add 1 stick of cold, cubed unsalted butter to the flour mixture and cut it in using a pastry cutter or your fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Add Milk
Pour in 3/4 cup of milk and stir until just combined.
Shape Biscuits
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently. Pat it out to about 1 inch thick and cut out biscuits using a round cutter.
Bake the Biscuits
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
