Tacos

Method

Tacos

1

Prepare the Beef

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

2

Season the Beef

Add taco seasoning to the browned beef and stir well. Add a little water (about 1/4 cup) if necessary. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until heated through.

3

Warm the Tortillas

In a separate pan, lightly toast the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 1 minute on each side, until warm and slightly crispy.

4

Assemble the Tacos

On each tortilla, layer a portion of the seasoned beef, followed by shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese. Top with a dollop of sour cream.

Bean Burrito

5

Warm the Refried Beans

In a small saucepan, heat the refried beans over medium heat until warm, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.

6

Warm the Tortilla

In the same pan or a separate one, warm the large flour tortilla for about 10-15 seconds on each side, until pliable.

7

Assemble the Burrito

Spread the warmed refried beans evenly across the center of the tortilla. Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese on top. Drizzle with sour cream and hot sauce to taste.

8

Roll the Burrito

Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it tightly from the bottom to the top to enclose the filling.
