Soft Serve Base

Method

Preparation

1

Mix the Base

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is completely dissolved.

2

Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until well chilled.

3

Flavor the Base

Once chilled, add your choice of flavoring (fruit puree, chocolate syrup, etc.) to the base and mix until well combined.

4

Churn the Soft Serve

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft serve consistency.

5

Serve

Serve immediately for a soft serve texture, or transfer to an airtight container and freeze for later use.
