Method
Preparation
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This will ensure the mushrooms cook evenly and get a nice golden color.
Prepare Mushrooms
Carefully clean the large white mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Remove the stems from the mushrooms and set them aside. Place the mushroom caps on a baking sheet.
Filling
Make Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and smooth.
Stuff Mushrooms
Spoon the cheese mixture into each mushroom cap, filling them generously. Make sure to pack the filling tightly, but avoid overflowing.
Topping and Baking
Prepare Topping
In a separate bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. This will create a crunchy topping for the stuffed mushrooms.
Top Mushrooms
Sprinkle the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture evenly over each stuffed mushroom.
Bake
Drizzle the olive oil over the stuffed mushrooms to add flavor and help with browning. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
