Preparation

1

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and granulated sugar until well combined.

2

Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, large egg, melted unsalted butter (cooled slightly), and vanilla extract until fully combined.

Cooking Pancakes

3

Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently stir until just combined; it's okay if there are a few lumps. Do not overmix.

4

Preheat Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with a little butter or cooking spray.

5

Cook Pancakes

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2-3 minutes), then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

6

Serve

Remove pancakes from the skillet and keep warm while you cook the remaining batter. Serve warm topped with fresh berries, a dollop of whipped butter, and drizzle with maple syrup.
