Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

If desired, place a highball or rocks glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Combine liquids

Fill a cocktail shaker or mixing glass halfway with ice cubes. Add 3 oz soju, 2 oz melon milk, and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice. If you prefer the drink sweeter, add 0.25 oz simple syrup.

3

Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and the mixture is slightly frothy from the milk.

4

Strain over ice

Remove the chilled glass from the freezer (or use a fresh glass). Add 2–4 fresh ice cubes to the glass. Strain the shaken mixture into the glass over the ice.

5

Top (optional)

If you want a lighter, fizzy finish, top with about 1 oz soda water and gently stir once to combine. This step is optional — the cocktail is delicious without carbonation.

Garnish & Serve

6

Garnish the cocktail with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Add a melon ball skewered on a pick or a thin cucumber ribbon for an elegant contrast. Optionally tuck a small sprig of fresh mint beside the garnish for aroma.

7

Serve immediately with a short stirring straw. Encourage guests to give the drink a gentle stir before sipping to reincorporate any settled milk.
