Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Broccoli

Wash the broccoli thoroughly under cold running water. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets and set aside.

2

Mince the Garlic

Peel and mince the garlic cloves finely.

Cooking

3

Sautéing the Broccoli

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

4

Add Broccoli

Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir well to coat the broccoli with the garlic and olive oil.

5

Seasoning

Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the broccoli. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.

6

Finish with Lemon Juice

Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the lemon juice over the sautéed broccoli. Toss to combine.

Steaming (Alternative Method)

7

Prepare the Steamer

Fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil. Place a steamer basket over the pot, ensuring it doesn’t touch the water.

8

Steam the Broccoli

Add the broccoli florets to the steamer basket, cover, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still bright green.

9

Season after Steaming

Remove the broccoli from the steamer and transfer it to a serving bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and black pepper, and add lemon juice to taste. Toss to combine.
