Method

Preparation

1

Season the Tenderloin

Pat the Certified Angus Beef Tenderloin dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil all over the tenderloin, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chopped rosemary.

Cooking

2

Sear the Tenderloin

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned tenderloin and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until a nice brown crust forms.

3

Finish Cooking

Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check; it should read 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.

Resting

4

Rest the Meat

Remove the tenderloin from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
