Method

Marinade Preparation

1

Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

2

Marinate the Steak

Place the hanger steak in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Grilling

3

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F).

4

Remove Steak from Marinade

Take the steak out of the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.

5

Grill the Steak

Place the hanger steak on the preheated grill. Grill for about 5 to 6 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for an additional 4 to 5 minutes for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness.

6

Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.

7

Slice and Serve

Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips and serve immediately. Enjoy your grilled hanger steak!
