Method
Chicken Marinade
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, hot sauce, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well.
Marinate the Chicken
Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, making sure they are completely submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
Breading
Prepare the Breading Mixture
In a shallow dish, mix together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, paprika, and black pepper.
Bread the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Dredge each piece in the breading mixture, pressing to adhere.
Frying the Chicken
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the breaded chicken breasts to the hot oil. Fry for 4-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
Buffalo Sauce
Prepare the Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine the hot sauce, butter, garlic powder, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the butter is melted, stirring to combine.
Coat the Chicken
Once the chicken is fried, toss it in the prepared buffalo sauce until well coated.
Sandwich Assembly
Assemble the Sandwich
On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a generous amount of lettuce, followed by the sliced tomato. Top with the buffalo chicken and drizzle with spicy ranch dressing. Place the top half of the bun to close the sandwich.
Fries
Prepare the Fries
Cook the frozen French fries according to package instructions. Season with salt to taste before serving.
