Base & Fruit

Method

Prepare Base & Flavor

1

Mix juices and citrus

In a pitcher, combine pomegranate (or chosen seasonal berry) juice, fresh orange juice, and apple cider (or chosen seasonal substitute). Add the fresh lemon juice and stir to combine.

2

Dissolve sweetener and spices

Add honey or maple syrup, grated ginger, and ground cinnamon (if using). Stir vigorously until the honey/maple is fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding up to 1 tsp more if desired.

Chill & Assemble

3

Cool the base

Refrigerate the mixed base for at least 15 minutes to let flavors meld. If you need it immediately, add a few ice cubes to the pitcher and stir for 1–2 minutes, then discard those quick-chill ice cubes to avoid over-dilution.

4

Prepare glassware

Fill each serving glass with about 1/4 cup of ice cubes and 1–2 seasonal fruit slices. Gently clap half the mint leaves between your palms to release aroma and add them to the glass.

Finish & Serve

5

Combine with carbonation

Pour about 3/4 cup of the chilled juice mixture into each glass, filling roughly two-thirds. Top each glass with 1/4 cup sparkling water or club soda to add fizz. Stir gently once to combine.

6

Garnish and adjust

Garnish with an additional mint sprig and a slice or few whole seasonal berries. Taste and, if desired, add an extra splash of lemon juice or a dash more sparkling water. Serve immediately.
