Espresso Martini Mix

Method

Espresso Martini Mix

1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Add ingredients to shaker

Add 2 oz Ketel One Vodka, 1 oz coffee liqueur, 1 oz cold brew coffee, and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and dry shake (optional)

Add 6 ice cubes to the shaker. For a frothier top, first dry-shake (no ice) the ingredients for 10 seconds, then add ice and continue. Dry shaking is optional but yields a nicer foam.

4

Shake vigorously

With ice in the shaker, shake vigorously for 12–18 seconds until the shaker is very cold to the touch and the liquid is well aerated, producing a glossy foam.

5

Double-strain into glass

Remove ice from the chilled glass. Use a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh (or pour through the shaker tin and a fine strainer) to double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass. This improves texture and removes small ice shards.

Garnish & Finish

6

Garnish

Garnish the finished cocktail with 3 whole coffee beans placed on the foam in a triangle for aroma and presentation.

7

Serve

Serve immediately while the foam is fresh and the cocktail is cold.
