Ingredients

Method

Directions

1

Prepare the Spinach

Rinse the fresh spinach under cold water to remove any dirt. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the spinach for about 2 minutes until wilted. Drain and immediately transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. After a few minutes, drain again and squeeze out excess water. Chop the spinach coarsely.

2

Cook the Garlic

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

3

Combine Ingredients

Add the chopped spinach to the skillet. Stir in the heavy cream, cream cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well until the cheeses are melted and the mixture is creamy.

4

Season

Add ground nutmeg, salt, and black pepper to taste. Stir to combine and let simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

5

Serve

Remove from heat and serve warm as a delicious side dish.
