Preparation Instructions
Make the soufflé base
In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Stir in 1 tablespoon of flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of milk, and cook until thickened, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of Grand Marnier and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Let it cool slightly.
Combine the yolks and base
Whisk the egg yolks into the cooled soufflé base until well combined.
Fold in the egg whites
Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the soufflé base, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
Bake the soufflés
Divide the mixture evenly among the prepared ramekins. Place them in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until puffed and golden.
Serve
Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy your Grand Marnier Soufflé while they are still warm!
