Preparation

1

Muddle the Ginger and Blueberries

In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh ginger and blueberries. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush them together. This releases the juices and flavors from the ginger and blueberries.

2

Add the Liquids

Pour in the bourbon, fresh orange juice, and fresh lemon juice into the shaker over the muddled mixture.

3

Shake It Up

Fill the shaker with ice and secure the lid. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.

Serving

4

Strain the Mixture

Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the cocktail into a chilled glass filled with fresh ice. This will remove the ginger pieces and blueberry skins.

5

Garnish

Garnish the drink with an orange slice, a twist of lemon peel, and a few fresh mint leaves for added aroma and visual appeal.

6

Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Bourbon Beached Whale cocktail!
